🔬 Developing Experts
Children also have access to Developing Experts, an exciting online science platform available through MyLogin. Developing Experts allows pupils to revisit and review the science topics they have been learning in school through engaging videos, interactive activities and knowledge organisers. Children can test their understanding by completing fun quizzes and challenges linked directly to the science curriculum. It is a fantastic way for families to spark conversations about science at home and encourage curiosity about the world around them. 🧪🌍🚀📚
📸 Visit Our Class Blogs!
Our class blogs are a wonderful way to stay connected with your child’s learning journey. Regularly visiting the blogs allows you to see photographs, examples of work, exciting projects and key learning that has taken place in school. Sharing these posts with your child can help spark meaningful conversations at home about what they have learned, what they enjoyed most and what they are looking forward to next. Taking a few minutes to explore the blogs together helps children celebrate their achievements, reflect on their learning and develop confidence when talking about their experiences in school. We encourage families to visit the class blogs regularly and use them as a starting point for positive discussions about learning. 🌟📚💬
🔎 Swiggle Safe Search
Pupils also have access to Swiggle Safe Search, a child-friendly search engine designed specifically for children. This can be particularly useful for Key Stage 2 pupils who are carrying out research for homework, topic work or independent learning projects. Swiggle helps to filter search results so that children are more likely to find age-appropriate websites, images and information.
While Swiggle is designed with children’s safety in mind, no search engine can guarantee that every result will be suitable. For this reason, we encourage parents and carers to continue monitoring and supporting their child’s online activity when using any search engine at home. Talking to children about safe online behaviour and helping them evaluate the information they find are important parts of developing good digital citizenship and online safety skills. 🌐💡🛡️
