Bells Farm awarded online safety accreditation

The Digital Council play a very important role at Bells Farm

Bells Farm has once again been awarded a national accreditation for online safety.

The 360 Degree Safe award demonstrates continued progressive outstanding work in school and outside of school. Bells Farm met the benchmark level for every aspect of the application.

The previous online safety accreditation was awarded in 2016.

The assessor said the school has a “strong leadership of online safety” and there were opportunities for “the contribution of young people”.

Mrs Butterworth, Headteacher said: “We are so pleased and proud that once again, Bells Farm has been awarded the Online Safety Mark, reflecting our rigorous work in working with children and their families in learning to keep themselves safe in all their online interactions. Together we keep children safe – thank you for all your support in helping us to make this happen.”

Mr Baddhan, Online Safety Co-ordinator said: “Online Safety is at the heart of overall safeguarding provision at Bells Farm. Our strategy is vital to keeping parents and staff up-to-date with regular training and workshops. Our school’s online safety group – the Digital Council play a really important role in keeping everyone safe online. The importance of hearing the voices of young children is fundamental to the success of our work. This highly credible award reflects the wonderful work we do at our school and I just want to thank all the children, staff, Mrs Hughes (our Chair of Governors) and our supportive parents in achieving this accreditation.”

Ms Hughes, Chair of Governors said: “On behalf of the governing body, I would like to warmly congratulate the work of the school staff, Mr Baddhan and the Digital Council, in continuing to ensure that all pupil’s are safe online. The renewal of the accreditation is real evidence of the continued outstanding safeguarding practice at Bells Farm.
Well Done everyone!”
