Bells Farm receive Quality Mark Award for fifth successive year!

We are delighted to announce that Bells Farm has received the Basic Skills Quality Mark Award for the fifth successive time! The award promotes, supports and celebrates progress and improvements made by a school in English and Mathematics – recognised as forming the ‘bedrock’ of a good education.

We underwent an assessment on 24th September 2015, carried out by an external accredited assessor, against the 10 ‘Elements’ of the Quality Mark framework. These cover key aspects of our school’s improvement agenda, including the identification and analysis of the school’s needs; strategic planning; target setting for improvement; intervention and support for pupils under-achieving or under-attaining; provision of quality in both teaching and in resources; staff development; and active engagement with families. We also demonstrated the required effective monitoring and evaluation which are also required, and the assessor was very impressed with the wide range of evidence to show the impact of all our school development actions.

So it’s a huge thanks to you as parents and carers for continuing to support the hard work of all of the staff in making sure that the children of Bells Farm continue to receive the education they deserve. Most of all, it’s down to the children engaging in their learning every day, and continuing to live by the school motto: “Enjoying our learning…Aiming for excellence.” Well done everyone!
