Bells Farm win gymnastics silver medal

On Tuesday we took part in the Kings Heath Sports Partnership Gymnastics Competition.

In the morning two teams from Year 3 and 4 competed, and in the afternoon, two teams from Year 5 and 6 competed. In total 23 children competed during the day. We were required to learn and perform a sequence that involved rolls, balances, cartwheels and jumps.

In addition, we were required to perform a vault. The floor sequence and the vault were scored by qualified British Gymnastics judges. Once all the scores from the participating school were calculated, we were given our positions. In both morning and afternoon competitions we finished in 4th Place, just outside the medals. Amelia was awarded 2nd Place for her Individual overall performance. We enjoyed participating in the competitions and are pleased that we have had the experience of competing in strict conditions.

Overall Individual Silver Medal for Amelia.
