Online Safety and Values Assembly

Today is the 1st July. Mr Lo did an assembly to recap Honesty (our value word in June) and Kindness( Our value word for July).

During the assembly it was highlighted how not everything online is honest. Images can be edited or even created using AI tools.

Mr Lo gave an example of how AI generated Mr Devaney enjoying a jump at the Great Wall of China.

Mr Lo then showed how AI can create realistic photos. None of the people below exist or have ever existed on this Earth.

We also talked about online gaming, the importance of looking at age ratings. Many games are not suitable for primary children to play alone. We never know who we are interacting with.

With the summer holidays coming up, it’s important we enjoy going online with safety in mind!
