Photos: Children attend Wembley ‘We Day’ event

A selected group of children from Bells Farm attended the second annual ‘We Day’ event at Wembley arena on Thursday (5th March).

We had a very early start (4am!) in order to catch the special charter train to London which had been especially chartered by Richard Branson.

The day was amazing with over 12,000 students attending the event to hear inspirational speakers and to listen to some amazing live music. We were truly inspired and have come back more determined than ever to spread the message about making a difference to children’s lives in this country and around the world.

Some of the quotes from the speakers attending the event included the following:

Martin Sheen (Hollywood actor)“My fondest wish for each and every one of you is that you will find something in your life worth fighting for”

Buried Life (from MTV programme The buried life)“Be ambitious. Go after the goals that scare you.”

All the speakers agreed that there is no point in attending the We day event unless you try to do something about the issues that affect children throughout the world and Bells Farm are going to make sure that we do.

A wonderful day with a wonderful group of children.

So privileged to be able to go to the We Act day! The best words we could think of to describe the day…”awesome” and “inspirational”.
I am sure all the effort the children are putting in to making a local and global change will be both rewarding and empowering.

Well done to all the children that attended the day- you were a credit to Bells Farm. 🙂
