Star Assembly – Friday 13th June 2025

Today we enjoyed our special Star Assembly where we  found out about the incredible things these children have been achieving in class. It was so pleasing to hear how much they are all using our school behaviours for learning and how they are helping them to improve in lessons.

Y6 – Bethany and Alex S

Y5 – Olivia and Salaf

Y4 – Ziheng and Elianna

Y3 – Joseph and Harry

Y2 – Xiu and Kodie

Y1 – Nevaeh and Raphael

Reception – Willow and Sanav

Star of the School – Joshua Mills (Y4)

We are always excited to find out about our children’s achievements outside school. This week we celebrated Bemenet’s achievements in swimming and Sienna’s skills in martial arts. Bemenet can swim on both her front and her back and has received her 10m badge! Sienna has been attending martial arts lessons for just over a year and shared three certificates (and some moves!) with us.

We celebrated these children for their achievements using TTRS:

Our Year 6 children have recently attended top-up swimming lessons. This was a short, intensive course which they went to every day for one week. The all persevered well and are now all able to meet the water safety expectations for Y6 which is an excellent achievement.

These children also got their 5m badge:

And these children got their 10m badge:

We also had our next round of Classopoly. We are using this game as recognition of and an incentive for good class attendance. We know how important it is that children attend school every day. Our school target for attendance is 96% so the class with the highest attendance each week will roll to win in Classopoly. Any class with 100% attendance will automatically win a roll!

Here are our attendance figures for each class:

Swans – 93%

Puffins – 95%

Toucans – 97.9%

Bluebirds – 97.1%

Robins – 96%

Kestrels – 95%

Eagles – 91%

Well done to Toucans who won a roll on Classopoly… and the treasure!
