Star Assembly Friday 14th June
In today’s Star Assembly we found out about the incredible things these children have been achieving in class. It was so pleasing to hear how much they are all using our school behaviours for learning and how they are helping them to improve in lessons.

Well done to all these children:
Y6 – Daisy W and Jason
Y5 – Corben and Isla
Y4 – Khayri and Thomas L
Y3 – Elena and Aria
Y2 – Mohammed and Aisha
Y1 – Freddie and Forrest
Reception – Gwen and Charles
Miss Williams also had the privilege of choosing TWO ‘Stars of the School’ today! This is a very special award for someone we have noticed from any class across school for being a role model for our school. Well done to Krista (Y6) and Matt (Y2).
We are always excited to find out about our children’s achievements outside school. This week we celebrated Elena’s dance certificate. She told us about how much she had persevered to achieve it.
Elias has attended another two competitions (one in Wales!) and won gold and silver at one and gold and bronze at another. Outstanding!
We also had our next round of Classopoly. We are using this game as recognition of and an incentive for good class attendance. We know how important it is that children attend school every day. Our school target for attendance is 96% so the class with the highest attendance each week will roll to win in Classopoly. Any class with 100% attendance will automatically win a roll!
Here are our attendance figures for each class:
Swans – 81%
Puffins – 92%
Toucans – 81%
Bluebirds – 93%
Robins – 92%
Kestrels – 94%
Eagles – 91%
Kestrels won a roll on Classopoly.
Also as part of Star Assembly, we are rewarding children who make the most of our school subscriptions to EdShed, Numbots Times Table Rock Stars. We also gave out our certificates for Numbots and celebrated our Times Tables Rock Stars!

Our Year 6 children have been on an intensive swimming course! We have achieved more children than ever who are able to 25 metres this year! Well done Eagles!
