Start Assembly – Friday 23rd May 2025
Today we enjoyed our special Star Assembly where we found out about the incredible things these children have been achieving in class. It was so pleasing to hear how much they are all using our school behaviours for learning and how they are helping them to improve in lessons.
Y6 – Carley and Jacob
Y5 – Edey and Evelyn
Y4 – Harry T and Scarlett
Y3 – Mohammed and David
Y2 – Lojain and Zayna
Y1 – Albi and Jesutomisin
Reception – Lara and Oluwayanmife
Star of the School – Perci (YR)
We are always excited to find out about our children’s achievements outside school. This week we celebrated Anaya’s achievements in swimming. She has completed stage 2 and is now in a stage 3 group. She was very proud to share that she can swim without armbands! Well done Anaya.
We celebrated these children for their achievements using TTRS:
We also had our next round of Classopoly. We are using this game as recognition of and an incentive for good class attendance. We know how important it is that children attend school every day. Our school target for attendance is 96% so the class with the highest attendance each week will roll to win in Classopoly. Any class with 100% attendance will automatically win a roll!
Here are our attendance figures for each class:
Swans – 81%
Puffins – 86%
Toucans – 91%
Bluebirds – 93%
Robins – 93%
Kestrels – 94%
Eagles – 93%
Attendance this week has been poor across school and, for the first time in a long time, no-one reached our school target of 96%.
Instead of our usual Classopoly roll, this week all the children who attended school 100% stood up for a clap – well done you!
