Summer Reading Challenge

In September, we are hoping to return to the wonderful work we started on reading for pleasure. We will hopefully bring back some of the events which we haven’t been allowed to do this year and every class will have timetabled ERIC (Enjoying Reading In Class) slots.

As part of this re-launch, we had an assembly in school this week to set up a summer reading challenge. Unfortunately, due to last minute closures some children may not have taken the challenge home. There are copies below and your child can simply record the titles and dates on a piece of paper – no need to print the sheet.

This sheet is for Reception and Y1:

This sheet is for Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6:
It would be wonderful to have some photos of them completing some of the challenges. If you are able to do this, please send them to

All challenges, reviews and books should be returned to school after the summer holidays.

We hope you have a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you all return safely in September.
