Visiting Vikings

On Monday 4^th December, Kestrels were taken back in time to when the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings invaded these shores and battled for control of the country known as Britannia. From building an authentic Viking bed, to learning how to play a variety of games that would have kept our ancestors entertained for many hours, the children of year 5 had a fantastic time learning all about the Anglo-Saxon and Viking invasions of Britain, and how it shaped the future of Britain (especially now they know who to blame for spelling being so difficult!).
