We’re supporting Earth Hour!

Our Eco Council want parents and friends to take part in this year’s Earth Hour.

Earth Hour 2019 will see cities across the globe including Birmingham, London, Paris, Las Vegas, Sydney and Tokyo switch off their lights as a commitment to the planet.

The global event takes place on Saturday 30th March from 8.30pm to 9.30pm (local time) with millions of people taking part across the world.

Last year, a record-breaking 188 countries and 10 million people were involved in the fight against climate change.

Our school’s Eco Council will be performing an assembly about the importance of Earth Hour and climate change.

So what exactly is Earth Hour?
Earth Hour is a simple switch off of all ‘non-essential’ lights in your home from 8.30pm for an hour.
