Y2 Art Workshop

Year  2 have explored two themes for Art Week.

The first was Digital Mark Making. We looked at how art can be completed Digitally and on paper. In our workshop we watched a video from Mr Doodle discovering how we can connect marks to a place. He discusses what he does as an artist – he doodles! He explains how easy it is to build an entire world just with your pen, the world around you, and your imagination. We then had a go at doodling on paper and making patterns on a computer. Finally we created our own landscapes both on paper and on computer.

 

 The second theme we explored was movement. We explored drama and discovered how we can communicate without talking. We used our bodies to  create a freeze-frame to show connections between people.
