Y3 Art Workshop

The Bluebirds had a great morning on Thursday with their parents and carers coming in for an Art Workshop.

We learned about making photo stills and started by taking photos of each other, that might give a hint to a scenario or a scene at school or home. We watched a clip from the film, ‘The Secret Garden’ and based our next stills on the characters from the film. We could use the outside areas including the woodland walk and got some great photographs. We took it in turns to take photos and being the editor. While we were waiting, we also drew an ariel view of our perfect secret garden. We included, swings, slides, giant flowers, football pitches and…even a McDonalds!

Before it finished, we used our personal items to take a portrait that said something about us, we brought things in from home and could pose inside or outside, holding, wearing or playing with the items we brought in. We got some great shots that really said something about our personalities and about us as individuals.
