Y6 Police Workshop
This morning, Year 6 were visited by two police officers from West Midlands Police. The police visited to deliver an age-appropriate session to the children about knife crime. Some really important messages were given during this session and the children all engaged really well. The police started by talking about what knife crime is and considering the reasons why people might choose to carry a knife. The officers listened to the children’s ideas and discussed each point that was raised. The police officers also made the children aware that if a person is aged 10 and over then they have criminal responsibility for their actions. The police ended the session making sure that the children know the importance of keeping themselves safe in any situation.
