Y6 Residential Day 2

What a wonderful day Year 6 have had today! They have once again shown real determination and perseverance in everything they have done.

The morning began with a full English breakfast for those who wanted it. There was also fruit, yogurt and cereal. Some children enjoyed both! They then had their first two activities. Some did caving, some did climbing and some did archery.

For lunch they enjoyed jacket potato with a range of hot and cold fillings and salad. Some chose a sandwich instead but everyone enjoyed a cookie! The activities then included raft building, abseiling and zip wires. The children were extremely brave and many pushed themselves further than even we thought they would. We were so proud of every one of them – they all tried everything. Mrs Calbreath said out of all the groups she has taken over the years, this group have been the ones who have pushed themselves the most. They were amazing!

Tonight’s meal was bolognese or cheesy pasta with a donut to follow. We then had a wonderful time playing games and toasting marshmallows around the campfire. Well done Year 6 – you have made everyone proud with your amazing attitudes!
