Young Voices 2024

On Friday 26th January we took 46 children from year 4, 5, and 6 to Young Voices at the NEC in Birmingham. Our school choir have been working hard for a long time now to learn all the songs they performed.

We left school at lunchtime to attend the 3 hour rehearsal! It may sound like hard work (and it was) but everyone had such a good time that three hours actually flew by. We then had a free hour to eat before we took our seats for the show.

We were all very excited as our parents came in. It was quite tricky to see who was who and we had to send Mrs Parry over to investigate! There were over 5000 children in the choir altogether and we looked very smart in our white tops. Luckily, our parents could spot us as we wore glittery hats (with added tinsel – thank you Mrs Parry!) during the entry hour.

When the concert started, we could barely contain our excitement! We sang our hearts out and danced our feet off! Everyone had the most amazing time – teachers included! What an amazing event!
