Star Assembly – Friday 9th February 2024

In today’s Star Assembly we  found out about the incredible things these children have been achieving in class. It was so pleasing to hear how much they are all using our school behaviours for learning and how they are helping them to improve in lessons.

Well done to all these children:

Y6 – Iustin and Millie

Y5 – Miles and Carley

Y4 – Perez and Salaf

Y3 – Archie and Freya

Y2 – Jacob and Lilly-Rose

Y1 – Zayna and William

Reception – Albi and Harry

Mr Ball and I are also now choosing a ‘Star of the School’. This is a very special award for someone we have noticed from any class across school for being a role model for our school.

Mr Ball’s Star of the School – Alex S (Y5)

Miss Williams’ Star of the School – Jesutomisin (Reception)

Well done to all of these fantastic children for setting excellent examples of our learning behaviours.

We also had our next round of Classopoly. We are using this game as recognition of and an incentive for good class attendance. We know how important it is that children attend school every day. Our school target for attendance is 96% so the class with the highest attendance each week will roll to win in Classopoly. Any class with 100% attendance will automatically win a roll!

Here are our attendance figures 2nd – 8th February:

Swans – 98%

Puffins – 98%

Toucans – 92%

Bluebirds – 98%

Robins – 91%

Kestrels – 97%

Eagles – 93%

Our Swans, Puffins and Bluebirds won this week with 98% each! Bluebirds won their second treat time for landing on a treasure chest – they won 10 minutes iPad time! Puffins also landed on treasure won themselves extra Golden Time! Well done everyone.

Also as part of Star Assembly, we are rewarding children who make the most of our school subscriptions to EdShed and Times Table Rock Stars. This week we celebrated Amudha at the top of the leaderboard for Spelling Shed and Zara at the top for Maths Shed. Well done both! We also celebrated our Times Tables Rock Stars!
