Basketball team win tournament in last 5 seconds
Our basketball team participated in the group stages of the South Birmingham Basketball league held on Friday (9th December). There were three teams in our group and we all played each other once. The results of the games were as follows:
Hollywood 16-16 The Oaks
Bells Farm 14-14 The Oaks
Bells Farm 18-16 Hollywood
As can be seen by the results the games could not have been closer – Bells Farm secured the win of the group stage by Kai Mitchell scoring a basket in the last 5 seconds of the last game. This means Bells Farm will progress to the district finals in February 2017. Mr Gill was extremely impressed with the all round team performance – everyone played a crucial role in securing the group stage win.
