History Workshops
Last week, all KS2 classes enjoyed a History Workshop.
Year 6 had a fantastic time with David on Tuesday morning learning all about World War Two. The children started by learning briefly about World War One and how that impacted and influenced World War Two. The children then learned all about different aspects of life from that period of time. There were gas masks, toys, rifles, and even an actual air-raid siren! After learning lots of amazing facts, the children were given some time to explore all of the different items that David had brought along with him. They dressed up, shot at targets, used the air-raid siren themselves and much more. We had such a fantastic time! Thank you so much David!
Year 5 spent the afternoon learning about the Anglo-Saxon’s invasion of Britain. They honed their sword fighting skills, engaged in a mammoth tug of war, dressed up as Anglo-Saxons and partook in a variety of historic games.
