A Splashing Success!

The children arrived full of excitement and curiosity, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as they took to the water. From confident swimmers to those experiencing swimming lessons for the first time, every child approached the sessions with enthusiasm, courage and a real sense of achievement.

Our swimming instructors and were incredibly impressed with how well the children listened, followed instructions and supported one another throughout the day. The pool environment was calm, positive and full of encouragement, helping everyone to feel comfortable and confident in the water.

We know that some parents may have been feeling a little nervous ahead of the first session, particularly if their child was unsure about swimming or had never taken part in lessons before. We are delighted to share that the children settled quickly and embraced the experience brilliantly. Staff were on hand throughout the day to provide reassurance and support wherever needed, ensuring that every child felt safe and included.

Swimming is such an important life skill, as well as being a fantastic form of exercise, and we are thrilled to be able to provide this opportunity right here on our school site. Having the pool at school means children can benefit from regular lessons in a familiar environment, helping them to build confidence, develop water safety awareness and make excellent progress over time.

Thank you to all our families for your support in ensuring children arrived prepared and ready to enjoy the experience. Judging by the excitement and stories being shared at the end of the day, we are sure many children will have plenty to tell you this evening!

We are looking forward to the rest of the lessons over the two-week period and watching the children continue to grow in confidence as they develop this valuable life skill.

Well done to all our fantastic swimmers on a brilliant first day! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️🌟
