Celebrating World Book Day 2023
On Friday 3rd March we celebrated the end of our special World Book Day (Week!) with a poetry assembly. Each class learned a classic poems which they performed to all the classes and teachers. We were very proud of the amazing job they all did!
Reception
Our Swans stood bravely and confidently in front of the whole school to perform ‘When the North Wind Blows’.
Year Ones
Puffins had a very tricky job to learn so many words! They recited ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’ beautifully!
Year 2
Toucans did a wonderful job of remembering all the words to ‘The House that Jack Built’! They did an excellent job with the actions to help them.
Year 3
Bluebirds used amazing expression when reading ‘On the Ning, Nang, Nong’. They had some very well-timed instruments in there too!
Year 4
We really enjoyed listening to all the sound effects that Robins put into their poem ‘The Sound Collector’. Very imaginative!
Year 5
Kestrels used such wonderful expression as they performed ‘Mr Nobody’. We all know a Mr Nobody!
Year 6
Our Eagles always make us proud but their performance of ‘If’ was delivered beautifully. Well done Eagles!
